Two boards running at the same time
Teams mode splits the room in two and gives each side its own canvas. Both teams draw and guess simultaneously rather than taking turns around a single board, so nobody spends the round watching other people play. Points are pooled per team, which means a fast guess from anyone helps the whole side.
Picking sides
The host chooses how teams are formed: auto-balanced, which splits the room evenly, self-select, where players pick a side themselves, or manual, where the host assigns everyone. There is also a setting for whether teammates are allowed to guess their own side's drawing. Switch it off and only the opposing team may answer, which changes the mode considerably — suddenly you are drawing to be understood by the people you are competing against.
