Classic

What a Classic round looks like

Players take turns. When it is your turn you get 15 seconds to pick from a handful of offered words, then the canvas is yours for the rest of the timer. Everyone else watches the strokes appear live and types guesses into the chat. Players who guess correctly move to a separate chat with the others who have already finished, so nobody gives the answer away to the people still guessing. When the timer runs out, or everyone has it, the word is revealed and the next player takes over.

What the host can change

A Classic room takes 2 to 16 players and runs three turns per player by default, adjustable from one to ten. Turn length goes from 15 to 300 seconds. Letters are revealed as hints while the clock runs down — the host picks how many, and a word is never more than half revealed. Words come from a category (Animals, Food, Movies, Sports, Jobs, or a mix) at easy, medium, hard or mixed difficulty, or from a list you supply yourself. Three modifiers round it off: Blind Draw hides the drawer's own canvas until the turn ends, One Colour locks the palette to black, and No Undo takes away the undo button.

How does scoring work?

Guessing correctly earns you points — the faster you guess, the more you get. The drawer earns points too, for every player who successfully guesses their word, so drawing clearly is worth it as well as guessing fast.
